Canvas

In order to ensure that you receive a canvas print of the highest possible quality, we only produce our prints using Canson Artist, Archival Poly / Cotton 390 gsm canvas.

This OBA-free archival canvas is capable of producing extremely precise images with very high resolution on a reflective-free surface. The canvas will not yellow, crack or curl and is an ideal choice for a variety of applications including portraiture, fine art photography and demanding giclée requirements.

    * More smooth, uniform weave than 100% cotton
    * Less likely to stretch or sag than 100% cotton
    * Best suited to photographic images.

Inks

Possibly one of the most important factors in producing high quality prints is the choice of inks. At RT Gallery all of our images are printed using pigment based inks. These high quality inks ensure that your print will reproduce the greatest colour range possible and will last a lifetime without fading.

Lamination

Our lamination process ensures that your print is protected from cracking or chipping, is protected from mould and fungus, can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, and has a greater depth of colour and contrast. We triple laminate all of our prints, providing you with the best quality finish available.

Stretcher Bars

We only use kiln dried hardwoods to produce our stretcher bars. These will not shrink or warp as softer woods can do, and will ensure your canvas will keep its shape. Our stretcher bars have tapered edges so that your print will display beautifully without any unsightly timber marks showing across the face.

Wrap

Our prints are created without any wrap feature, and the canvas is edged in solid black. We are able to print using gallery or mirror wrap, and welcome your questions about this type of finish. Please be aware that many photographic images are not well suited to these kinds of wraps.
