The Tasmanian Waratah is a beautiful annual which flowers in spring and can be found right across the island, but especially in the west cost region.
So special is this flower that one west coast town takes its name "Waratah" from the abundant wild shrubs that can be found throughout the town and all roads leading to it. A spectacular sight during the flowering season
This image was captured in Rosebery, on the west coast, and the addition of a vignetting filter resulted in the stunning shot you would be proud to have hanging on your wall.
Is it a flower, or some alien visitor?.
