A common night time visitor in the Tasmanian bush is this brush tailed possum. Normally quite a shy creature, this was one of a colony that lived in the trees around our home, and had become very used to us feeding them at night.

He obviously liked being photographed, as he was grabbing hold of the lens with both front claws to make sure I had him framed well.

This canvas willd efinitely feel as though he is ready to jump off your walls and grab you as you pass. Be very careful!
